I would personally like to thank you Kira for taking the time to sit and do this one on one interview with me for Phoenix Rising Ezine, it is such a pleasure. Let's begin the interview now. Thank you Suzy for spending your time with me!!
When and how did you first become interested in music? When I was really young, 8 years old. I approached the piano, 5 years after I started the bass.
How long have you been playing music? For 18 years.
What are your musical influences? A bit of everything, I started listening to the Beatles then I passed through a long period of hard rock and then to come Glam for the Jrock, Visual Kei, but also listening to classical music and Jazz.
Does anyone in your family play music? My father was a drummer, my mother sang in a polyphonic choir, and my brother is a drummer!
What else do you do besides play music? Working for the municipal of my city, drawing the parks and all that concerns the environment, I am a surveyor.
According to the DNR bio you started the band, how long did it take to gather all the members that now make up DNR? Was really difficult to build the band, but it was the dream of my life that has become reality, for many years I had in mind the dream of DNR, drawings, designs and even wrote songs without having anyone in the band, the identity of DNR is very strong because the people who are part of the band than have married the cause, they said "yes" to all those that need the DNR, that body and soul...you understand why it was so far the research?
If you could play in any city in the world where would it be, and why? Tokyo, because it’s my dream...Los Angeles and wherever will be some DNR-fans.
Where do you think the most romantic city in the world is and why? Venice is a very romantic city...but no matter the place, the person with whom you share the experience makes it magical.
What would your idea of a perfect night at home be? (example, laying on the sofa watching movies) Each situation may be special, organize a picnic surprise in the park, go to the mountain to watch the stars, walk to the sea-side...or stay at home rent a DVD with a good pizza to eat...peppers!
What are your favorite genres of movies? Maybe horrors.
What is the last movie you actually got to sit down and watch? Kung-Fu Panda.
And finally is there any last things you would like to say to the fans reading this? I consider you friends, not fans, and thanx for making my dream come true! DNR is all my life.
And thanx dear Suzy, you and all the Phoenix staff are special for me!! Thanx for this great interview!
With love, Kira QUI QUO QUA |
